Deliverables

TPC’s community-based funded partners that selected the Tobacco Free Families indicator are to train organizations serving marginalized populations on the Breathe: Healthy Steps to Living Tobacco Free program.

Breathe is ideal to be used with Head Start centers and other organizations serving low-income families.  By training staff at these organizations on Breathe the staff is empowered to educate and motivate parents and caregivers on the dangers of secondhand and thirdhand smoke, the health and financial burden of tobacco use, and the resources available to quit smoking. Grant agreements with TPC and community-based funded partners support deliverables related to working with Head Start centers and other organizations in local communities.
