New Coordinators

Congratulations on your new role as a TPC County Coordinator! If your agency is a Community-based Funded Partner AND they selected the Tobacco Free Families indicator, then you are in the right place! Follow the steps below to get trained on Breathe: Healthy Steps to Living Tobacco Free, which is the basis of the deliverables for the Tobacco Free Families indicator.

  1. Watch the Beginner Breathe Training for County Coordinators. Here are the PowerPoint slides.
  2. After watching the training online, complete this survey. Tanya Shelburne with Health Ed Pros will then send you a certificate of completion, add your name to the attendance list for this training, and will have a Breathe kit mailed to you, if needed.
  3. Thoroughly review the Breathe Kit and the Breathe website. You are on the website right now, so be sure to check out all the tabs and drop-down menus at the top of the screen!
  4. Sign up for the monthly Breathe E-newsletter here.
  5. Sign up for the Breathe Facebook group here. (optional)
  6. Contact Tanya if you would like to discuss specific next steps for your county as well as any questions you may have. If possible, you should observe Health Ed Pros or another County Coordinator delivering a Breathe training before conducting a training yourself.

After completing these steps you should be ready to implement Breathe in your county! Consider Health Ed Pros your partner for the Tobacco Free Families Indicator/Breathe, and reach out to us anytime you have questions or challenges. And be sure to share your successes as well!
